Frontier Airlines launches flights from MIA to nine cities
Frontier Airlines to announce promotional sale in celebration of the launch
WHAT: Officials from the Miami-Dade Aviation Department and Frontier Airlines will celebrate the launch of service to nine cities by Frontier from Miami International Airport – three of which are new routes for MIA – with a press conference and ribbon-cutting. Providence, Milwaukee and Islip are new MIA routes, while Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Las Vegas, and Philadelphia are currently served by other carriers at MIA. Frontier service to Trenton, New Jersey – another new route for MIA – will launch on October 6, and will be followed by other new service launches by Frontier in November and December. Frontier will also announce a promotional sale at the event. Frontier carried more than 575,000 passengers to and from Miami in 2016, making it MIA’s seventh-busiest passenger airline.
WHO: Miami-Dade Aviation Director Emilio T. González and Frontier Airlines Director of Pricing Timothy Keeny will be making remarks and be available for media interviews.
